What is DNA?: 

DNA is a molecule by which the characteristic of a organism is passed from one generation to the next.  That is, any animal dies, but its DNA never dies.

The human body is made up of numerous small cells, these cells contain the nucleus, the nucleus contains chromosomes, and these chromosomes contain DNA.

DNA কী?:

ডিএনএ হল এমন এক অণু, যার দ্বারা জীবদেহের চারিত্রিক বৈশিষ্ট্য এক প্রজন্ম থেকে পরবর্তী প্রজন্মে নিয়ে যায়। অর্থাৎ যে কোন প্রাণী মারা যায়, কিন্তু তার ডিএনএ কখনো মারা যায় না।

DNA এর গঠনঃ 

মানব দেহ অসংখ্য ছোট ছোট কোষ দ্বারা গঠিত, এই কোষ গুলির মধ্যে থাকে নিউক্লিয়াস, এই নিউক্লিয়াসের মধ্যে থাকে  ক্রোমোজোম, এবং এই ক্রোমোজোম এর মধ্যে থাকে ডিএনএ।

ডিএনএ দেখতে অনেকটা একটা ঘুরানো সিঁড়ির মত হয়। এই ডিএনএতে মানবদেহের যাবতীয় তথ্য সঞ্চয় করা থাকে। যেমন -মানুষের আকৃতি কেমন হবে, মানুষের চোখের রং, চুলের রং এবং ত্বকের রং কেমন হবে, এছাড়া মানবদেহের কংঙ্কাল এর গঠন কেমন হবে, প্রভৃতি।

মানব দেহের সমস্ত ডিএনএ গুলিকে যদি লম্বায় জোড়া যায়, তবে তার দৈর্ঘ্য হবে পৃথিবী থেকে প্লোটো যা দূরত্ব তার দ্বিগুণ।

DNA, Deoxyribase Suger, Phosphate এবং Nitrogenous Base ইত্যাদি উপাদান গুলি দ্বারা গঠিত।

DNA Test কি? এবং কেন করা হয়?ঃ 

• একটি নির্দিষ্ট কোষের ক্রোমোজোম থেকে ডিএনএ কে কোন একটি ল্যাবে পরীক্ষা ও গবেষণা করা হলে, তাকে এককথায় ডিএনএ টেস্ট বলা যায়।
• ডিএনএ টেস্টের মাধ্যমে বলা সম্ভব হয়, কোন ব্যক্তির পরবর্তী প্রজন্মের সন্তানের চোখের ও চুলের রং কেমন হবে, এছাড়া ওই সন্তানটি কি কি রোগের দ্বারা ভুগতে পারে তাও আগাম বলা সম্ভব। তাছাড়া কোনো অপরাধীকে ধরার জন্য তদন্ত করে পাওয়া কোন চিহ্ন, যেমন- চুল, রক্তের ফোঁটা ইত্যাদি থেকে ডিএনএ টেস্ট করা হয়, এছাড়াও কোন সন্তানের প্রকৃত বাবা কে, তা নির্ধারণ করার জন্য ডিএনএ টেস্ট করা হয়।

                                                             

DNA Test এর  খরচ? ঃ 

যেকোনো ল্যাবে DNATest  করতে গেলে minimum 10 থেকে 15 দিন সময় লাগে এবং ওই ল্যাবরোটারি কে খরচা বাবদ প্রায় 10 থেকে 40 হাজার টাকা দিতে হয়।
