What is CSR? 

CSR is a Business Model.  Because a company makes a profit by using the people, the environment, where it starts its business.  Therefore, every company has a responsibility to help in social development in those areas.  So for social development, every company has to give some percentage of its profit to social development.

What is the social responsibility of the company?

1. Financial grants to various non-profit organizations.  
2. Take initiatives to reduce water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, etc.  
3. To help the common people in natural calamities like floods, earthquakes etc.

Origin of CSR:

In 2013, the first CSR was made compulsory in India.  Every company must comply with the CSR.  Section 135 mentions the details of the company related to CSR.  However, the CSR Act in India came into force on April 1, 2014.

How much does each company have to pay CSR?

Each company has to pay only 2% of the total profit in three years.

CSR কি?

CSR হল একটি Business Model. কারণ কোন কোম্পানি যে জায়গায় তার ব্যবসা শুরু করে সেখানকার জনগণ, পরিবেশ, ব্যবহার করেই ওই কোম্পানি মুনাফা লাভ করে। তাই প্রতিটি কোম্পানির একটা দায়িত্ব থাকে ওই সব এলাকায় সামাজিক উন্নয়নের কাজে সাহায্য করা। তাই সামাজিক উন্নয়নের জন্য প্রতিটি কোম্পানিকে তার লাভের কিছু শতাংশ টাকা সামাজিক উন্নয়নের কাজে দিতে হয়।

কোম্পানি সামাজিক কি দায়িত্ব পালন করে?

1. বিভিন্ন অলাভজনক প্রতিষ্ঠান গুলিতে আর্থিক অনুদান।
2. জল দূষণ, বায়ু দূষণ, শব্দদূষণ, ইত্যাদি হ্রাস করার উদ্যোগ নেওয়া।
3. বন্যা, ভূমিকম্প প্রভৃতি প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগে সাধারণ মানুষদের সাহায্য করা।

CSR র উৎপত্তি:

2013 সালে ভারতবর্ষে প্রথম CSR বাধ্যতামূলক করা হয়। প্রতিটি কোম্পানিকে CSR মেনে চলতেই হবে। 135 নম্বর ধারায় CSR সম্পর্কিত কোম্পানির বিবরণ উল্লেখ করা আছে। তবে, ভারতে CSR সম্পর্কিত আইন 2014 সালের 1লা এপ্রিল কার্যকারি হয়।

প্রতিটি কোম্পানিকে কত টাকা CSR দিতে হয়? 

প্রতিটি কোম্পানি তিন বছরে মোট কত টাকা লাভ করে সেই লাভের টাকা মাত্র 2% দিতে হয়।
